Michigan. Beautiful piece of sculpture that was used in architecture school as an example of how NOT to manage your thermal gain. All that southwest facing glass makes the house uninhabitable (unable to cool the house below 104F in the summer afternoons)

I was fortunate enough to attend a Richard Meier lecture a few years ago and was completely blown away by the genius of this man. I’ve always thought of architecture as a beautiful art form, perhaps it is because I can’t even imagine the talent and education needed for this particular medium. One learns to greatly appreciate that which she could never do herself!
